DESCRIPTION:
This yacht went up on the rocks at the Barrier and we salvaged her with the help of a salvage team. We towed the boat back to Gulf Harbour where she was hauled for repairs.
The repairs consisted of a rather large hole in the bow and a smaller hole in the stern. The vessel took on enough water to almost entirely submerge the engine. The construction of this boat was four skins making it a challenge to repair back to her former immaculate state. The yacht was in for repairs for 4 months and the hull was entirely repainted.
The wood used in the repair was New Zealand Kauri and Kahikatea.
